Unofficial commemorative token. $FARCASTER is not the Farcaster protocol, does not operate or replace the Farcaster network, and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Farcaster, Neynar, Warpcast, or their respective owners, affiliates, employees, or contributors.

Purpose

$FARCASTER is a fixed-supply, experimental memecoin commemorating the early Farcaster social graph. Its name and its use of historical Farcaster FIDs are descriptive references to that history, not a claim that the token is an official Farcaster asset. The token grants no ownership of a Farcaster account or protocol FID, no governance rights, no claim on fees or revenue, no redemption right, and no promised utility or value. It may have no use beyond collection, transfer, and voluntary third-party trading. Base FID is a separate paid commemorative registry documented on the Base FID page. It is not the $FARCASTER token or its distribution contract.

Canonical Base contracts

The token and vault source code are verified on BaseScan. The token is not a proxy.

Issuance and distribution

The total supply is permanently fixed at 100,000,000,000 FARCASTER. The contract has no post-deployment mint function. The airdrop was a one-time, deterministic historical distribution to the 20,000 unique custody addresses returned by Farcaster’s Optimism Id Registry for FIDs 1 through 20,000 at finalized Optimism block 155,715,143. It was executed as 50 ordered transactions of 400 recipients each. Recovery, connected, and profile addresses were not used; only custodyOf(fid) at the pinned block determined each destination. This broad recipient pattern is intentional and expected. Recipients did not need to request or claim the commemorative allocation. The distributor cannot repeat, extend, redirect, or replace the completed airdrop: all 50 committed batches are complete, the token contract’s owner is now the zero address, and there is no remaining token mint authority. The tier schedule, pinned custody snapshot, and batch commitments are retained as reproducible project records and can be provided to security reviewers on request.

Current authority and liquidity state

The following state was rechecked on Base on August 20, 2026:
  • totalSupply() is exactly 100 billion tokens;
  • distributionComplete() is true, nextBatch() is 50, and transfers are open;
  • token owner() is the zero address, so the former deployment wallet cannot mint, pause, blacklist, tax, upgrade, or administer the token;
  • the token has no transfer tax, blacklist, whitelist, pause, or hidden balance adjustment function;
  • the immutable fee recipient is the disclosed Safe above;
  • Uniswap V3 position NFT 5785238 has been withdrawn from the vault and is currently held directly by that Safe, which can manage or reduce the position through the standard Uniswap position manager;
  • the separate 5 billion-token reserve remains in the ownerless token contract; its single disclosed withdrawal to the immutable Safe has not been used.
The former wallet 0x1e9F…97F5 created the contract in 0x860b4b8b0e44907c24107c2a511831a4d6d7346d869d2af7ca119e079d7168c0 and submitted the 50 precommitted distribution batches. It retained no token administration after the Safe initialized liquidity and the token atomically renounced ownership. The Safe’s continuing reserve and liquidity powers are disclosed above; they are not powers of the former deployer EOA.

Liquidity initialization

The Safe initialized the market with 10 ETH and 5 billion FARCASTER in the canonical Base Uniswap V3 1% pool. The successful initialization transaction is 0x9d6da35d94958c7056cdba2f211a24c684dbb634120bb4d668293a8386309112. Liquidity is Safe-controlled, not permanently locked. Pool ratios, prices, market capitalization, and displayed values are not redemption guarantees.
